Ingredients:
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder
- 4 oz dark chocolate, chopped
- 1/2 cup brownie chunks
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
Instructions:
In a saucepan, combine heavy cream, whole milk, granulated sugar, cocoa powder, and salt
Heat over medium-low heat, stirring constantly until the mixture starts to steam
Do not boil
Remove from heat, add chopped dark chocolate, and stir until chocolate is melted and the mixture is smooth
Stir in vanilla extract and let the mixture cool to room temperature
Once cooled, churn the mixture in an ice cream maker according to the manufacturer's instructions
During the last few minutes of churning, add brownie chunks and continue churning until evenly distributed
Transfer the ice cream to a container and freeze for at least 4 hours or until firm
Serve in cones or bowls, garnished with extra brownie chunks if desired
