Ingredients:
- 1 sheet of puff pastry
- 4 oz goat cheese
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 egg for egg wash
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh thyme leaves for garnish
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 375F 190C
Roll out the puff pastry sheet and cut it into small squares or rectangles, depending on your preference
Place the pastry squares on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper
Spread a generous amount of goat cheese on each pastry square, leaving a small border around the edges
Sprinkle chopped walnuts evenly over the goat cheese
Drizzle honey over the tarts for a touch of sweetness
In a small bowl, beat the egg and brush the edges of the pastry squares with the egg wash
Season the tarts with a pinch of salt and a dash of pepper
Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until the pastry is golden brown and puffed
Remove from the oven and garnish with fresh thyme leaves
Allow the tarts to cool slightly before serving
